Editorial policy
Last updated:
These are the rules behind every article on SexAIReviewer. They apply to reviews, rankings and guides alike, in all three languages.
Independence
Apps cannot pay for a review, a score or a position in a ranked list. No app sees an article before it is published, and no app can approve or edit what we write.
Affiliate deals are handled separately from testing and writing. An app's commission rate is not part of its score, and an app that pays us can score below one that pays us less.
Who writes and who checks
Every review is written by the person who tested the app and carries their name. Before publication, Mia Sinclair, our lead editor, checks the scores against the test notes. Prices, plans and features are checked against the live app on the day the article goes up.
Privacy claims are checked by Priya Anand, and claims about images, video and voice by Daniel Reyes.
Sources and fact-checking
Most of what we publish comes from our own testing. When a claim comes from somewhere else, such as an app's own policy, a news report or a study, we say where it comes from and link to it where we can. When a claim comes from an app's marketing and we could not confirm it, we say that too.
How we use AI
We review AI apps, so we use AI tools every day. This is where they are and are not part of our work:
- •Testing. Done by people, in the apps, on paid accounts.
- •Scores and verdicts. Decided by the person who tested the app and checked by the lead editor. Never generated by AI.
- •Writing. Reviews are written by our writers. We may use AI tools to check spelling and grammar.
- •Translation. Spanish and Portuguese versions may start from an AI draft, and a person reviews each one before publication.
- •Images. Article header images are generated with AI. They do not show real people and are never presented as screenshots of an app.
Conflicts of interest
Our writers do not accept gifts, free credits or payments from the apps we cover, and do not hold shares in them. If a writer ever has a personal or financial connection to an app, they do not review it.
What we will never publish
- •Anything involving minors, or characters presented as under 18.
- •Guides to sexualizing, undressing or deepfaking real, identifiable people.
- •Explicit images of any kind on our pages.
- •Reviews of apps we have not used ourselves.
Language versions
Each article is published in English, Spanish and Portuguese. All three describe the same test with the same scores. A translation can change wording so that it reads naturally, but never a score, a price or a recommendation. When an article is updated, all three versions are updated together.
Advertising
We do not run banner ads and we do not publish sponsored articles. Our income comes from affiliate links. Highlighted partner boxes inside articles are labelled, and our affiliate disclosure page explains what they are.
Headlines and dates
A year in a headline, such as "2026", means the article was tested or updated that year. We do not change the year in a title without re-checking the article.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and change the article's "updated" date. If the mistake changed a score or a recommendation, we add a note to the article saying what was corrected and when.
To report a mistake, write to us through the contact page with the article and the sentence that is wrong.
Feedback and right of reply
Readers and app makers can challenge anything we publish. App makers who think a review is inaccurate can send us the specific claim and their evidence. We check it against our own test, correct the article if they are right, and reply either way. Disagreement with a score is not a correction, and we do not change scores on request.
Updates
Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. Rankings are re-tested every quarter, and guides are reviewed when the apps or the rules they describe change.
Ownership and funding
SexAIReviewer is owned and run by the company listed on our about and contact pages. It is funded by affiliate commissions, explained on our affiliate disclosure page.
Frequently asked questions
Can an app pay to change a review?
No. Apps cannot pay for a review, a score or a position, and they do not see articles before publication. If an app shows us a factual mistake, we correct it whether or not it works with us.
Are your reviews written by AI?
No. Reviews are written by the people who tested the apps. We use AI tools for spelling checks, translation drafts and header images, and a person reviews everything before it goes live.
How do I report a mistake?
Write to us through the contact page with "Correction" in the subject line, the article and the sentence that is wrong. If the mistake changed a score or a recommendation, the article will carry a note about the correction.
